Syncher is intended to give instructors a simple mechanism for synchronizing imagery and other multimedia with mp3 audio files or podcasts. In this example, the instructor synchronized an audio podcast from the Jet Propulsion Lab with images of the subject, found on websites. Syncher is available as an inexpensive add-on to the LodeStar constellation of templates.

On the first page, an instructor links to or uploads the audio file. Then the instructor adds pages with (optionally) text, imagery, animations, video, and audio. At the top of the page, the instructor labels the page with minutes and seconds in a simple format: min:secs. This label synchronizes the page with the audio file.
